My newest musical obsession... and I'm going to see them at Wembley in the summer *is ridiculously excited* I remember when I was a kid [about 3?] we used to have (What's The Story) Morning Glory? on repeat all year. Not that I'm complaining, it's bloody immense. Apparently I used to think that the lyric on Wonderwall "Because maybe, you're gonna be the one that saves me" was "Because maybe, you're gonna be the one at Sainsbury's". Don't Look Back In Anger always takes me to another place and allows me to block out everything (in a good way). Some Might Say makes me think that maybe "sunshine follows thunder" and Champagne Supernova takes me back to Italy, when we were in a cafe with a plasma TV and MTV Italy [it was in English], and that song was on. Their other albums are pretty fantastic as well; current single I'm Outta Time is the closest I will ever get to describing something as sublime, and Cigarettes and Alcohol from their 1994 debut Definitely Maybe is nearly comical in its swagger, but manages not to be.
Oh my God... Wembley Stadium, here I come.
